Just came through a article on TOI which talks about a website which analyzes your writing style and tells you the author which resembles your writing style. Ahhh , as a blogger i thought, let me check my writing style.
Browsed the website to find out if i resemble any of he greats. One has to just copy and paste few of the paragraph of your writings on the web page and click on analyze. So after the first iteration the result says Issac Asimov , wow . I thought of repeating it if it was just a fluke or a random generator. On the second iteration with other text it showed David Foster Wallace. On the 3rd, 4th and 5th iteration with different text it showed the same result.
The website does some kind of analysis based on the number of words per sentence etc. So you have all the reasons to feel good on a Sunday morning thinking that you are not that bad at writing.

H. P. Lovecraft. Alas, I don't know
How Lovecraft writes!
I tried 7 times and got 7 different responses including P.G Wodehouse, Dan Brown, Stephen King etc.. Guess koi style hi nahi hai ;)
@ Mr Shri Ram
You can check out the unique style of Lovecraft on wiki .
@ Sid
wow man , PG Woodhouse & Dan Brown , If I can do it for just one write up that's great !
Looks like you have got a unique style :)
It didn't give consistent results!
Got Stephen King lol.
Cory Doctorow, Kurt Vonnegut, Dan Brown, I just tried 3 times. I dont know who the first two are.. will google in office..
Inconsistent results might be due to no particular fixed style of writing. :-)
Cory Doctorow, Mary Shelly, Arthur Clarke & David Foster Wallace. Cory Doctorow & Foster repeated themselves in results. Its a great tool.
I also tried and got David Foster Wallace, same as yours...there is also a link given to prove that to others :)
interesting article!!!
:-) David Foster Wallace used to write abnormally long sentences :-) May be that is causing many of us to get that ..
